Yoga Session
The residents at Queens View Harbour Care Home enjoyed a yoga taster session exercise group provided by Mr Carlo Ferroni, a yoga specialist. The feedback provided by the staff and residents was excellent, which allowed friendships, fellowships and community spirits to build as a result.
Carlo is set to be the new yoga specialist at our care home, providing us with regular visits to increase the resident’s wellbeing.
At Queens View Harbour Care Home, we recognise the importance that maintaining a strong fitness regime has on our residents’ lives. It does not only improve the overall physical fitness and mobility of our residents, but it is also a great way to build new relationships with one another too.
Encouraging our residents to participate in our fitness programme has proven to help improve sleep, social interaction, confidence, self-esteem and mood for residents living with dementia.
With the added benefit of our wonderful gardens, residents are motivated to take advantage of the outdoor space and take leisurely strolls with their loved ones or fellow residents.
Our dedicated team members recognise the value of having fun and staying active, which is why we are always in the search of new ways to keep our residents stimulated. Whether we are encouraging our residents to get up and participate in our musical events, visiting the local village of Ayr, or making use of our very own putting green, there are plenty of ways that our residents can maintain their health and fitness at our care home.
