Our Big Jubilee Barbecue
At Queens View Harbour Care Home in Troon, we hosted a 'Big Jubilee Barbecue' to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee which recognised her 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom.
We wanted to go 'big' to mark the momentous occasion, and we did so in a variety of ways, including selfie boards, entertainment from 'Music Box', good food and fizz, and ultimately the company of our staff, residents, and their relatives.
The sun was shining and it was great to be able to gather together to celebrate and share good conversation and lots of laughs. A great time was had by all as we sat back in the sun and indulged in barbecue food, cooked kindly by our Head Chef and catering team, and lots of drinks which were constantly flowing thanks to our bar staff!
All of the departments within Queen's View Harbour got involved and we can't thank our staff enough for making the day so special and always going above and beyond to ensure our residents are living an enriched life.
As a new care home having only opened in August 2021 and during a pandemic, we were delighted to be able to host an event where we could meet new people and become familiar with those in our local community.
It is safe to say that the people of Troon know how to party and we look forward to welcoming you all to our next garden party!
