Making The Most of Our Hometown, Troon

Residents Enjoying the Seaside

Living in Troon has many benefits with its fresh sea air, close-knit and friendly community, lovely green spaces, and beautiful award-winning beaches, which were recently nominated as two of the best beaches in Scotland on 1st June 2023.

Troon retains its old seaside charm whilst offering modern amenities with easy access to the rest of the attractions in Ayrshire.

There are a variety of independent cafes, pubs, unique gift shops and wonderful restaurants to visit, all of which offer Ayrshire’s finest local produce to eat and drink.

The residents at Queens View Harbour in Troon often enjoy the tastes of Ayrshire in a variety of wonderful locations round Troon from Scott’s Bar & Restaurant at the Troon Yacht Haven, Bluebells Coffee shop to the Lido buzzwork restaurant just down the road and have enjoyed many a fish Friday from the Wee Hurry in the comfort of our beautiful dining rooms.

Our outdoor setting has been carefully nurtured and cultivated by a few keen gardeners, both staff and residents, and has developed and grown since we opened to become a colourful and vibrant area in which to spend time relaxing. Each flower, bulb and aromatic plant has been carefully chosen and brought to QVH by the members of our gardening group.

One of our residents commented, “I like to go out in the garden after my breakfast to work in the garden, preparing the soil and planting my containers. I am so glad that I could bring some of my own plants to grow here”.

We look forward to doing more outside in our garden and trips into Troon with the warm weather now upon us! If you'd like more information about our beautiful care home in South Ayrshire please get in touch.
