Christmas Tidings & Tinsel Craft Event Brings Festive Cheer
Residents, families, friends, and staff at Queens View Care Home came together to celebrate the festive season at our much-anticipated Christmas Tidings & Tinsel Craft event. The home was filled with warmth, laughter, and Christmas cheer as everyone enjoyed a wonderful evening of crafts, entertainment, and community spirit.
The event featured a host of festive activities, including craft stalls offering beautiful Christmas goodies, and a popular bottle and raffle stall with some fantastic prizes up for grabs. All proceeds from the raffle and bottle stall were dedicated to our chosen charity of the year, Make-A-Wish Foundation – a wonderful organisation that grants life-changing wishes to children living with critical illnesses, bringing hope and joy to families during challenging times.
Entertainment on the night was provided by the talented Marr Cappella choir, who delighted everyone with their festive tunes, and the Cub section of the 28th Ayrshire (Troon) Scout Group, whose enthusiasm and charm brought smiles all around. To top it all off, we even had a surprise visit from Santa himself, much to the delight of residents and visiting children alike.
The evening was a perfect opportunity for residents to welcome their families and friends into the home to share in some festive magic. Mulled wine and mince pies were served to keep spirits high, and the warm atmosphere allowed everyone to enjoy special Christmas moments together. It was also a chance for us to open our doors to the local community in Troon, who joined in to help make the evening sparkle with Christmas joy.
At Queens View, we believe in making meaningful connections and memories, and this evening truly captured the essence of togetherness and giving. By raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, our residents and staff were proud to support a charity that works tirelessly to bring magical experiences to children and families when they need it most.
Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and supported this special event – from our residents and their loved ones to our dedicated staff, volunteers, and local community. The evening was a beautiful reminder of the joy that comes from coming together, giving back, and celebrating the season.
