Our Respite Care service allows residents to rest and heal while also allowing caregivers and family members to unwind and shut off for a while. Our hardworking team strives to provide a wide range of options so that residents have everything they need to live a full and diverse life. We encourage all residents to continue doing what makes them happy, whether it’s reading a book in the beautiful landacaped gardens or enjoy live entertainment from the comfort of their home.

Our Activity Coordinator plans weekly entertainment such as sing-alongs, arts and crafts, and movie days to be both entertaining and accessible. Royal Troon Golf Club has welcomed world-famous golfers such as Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, combined with stunning views and excellent hospitality, this Golf Course is a must-visit for golf enthusiasts as well as those who simply enjoy beautiful Scottish scenery. Marine Hotel Spa is a spectacular spa break location and is perfect for those who want to unwind and enjoy the luxuries that Troon offers; available for short breaks or dinner reservations, guests can enjoy the tranquil views of Troon Harbour and its beaches during their visit. Fullarton Fairy Trail is a wonderful family activity, situated just outside Troon centre in the magical woodlands of South Ayrshire, the Fairy Trail is a magical place for families to spend an afternoon wandering. Barassie Beach is another family favourite; its white-sand beaches and gorgeous waters, makes it the ideal spot to sunbathe and build sandcastles while soaking in the north beach sun. Glasgow

Nestled away in the middle of Glasgow, Hogganfield Loch is a small tranquil oasis that offers a calm and relaxing escape from the bustling city. Hogganfield Loch is a shallow loch surrounded by park land and holding a small wooded island off its eastern bank. Easily traversed by wheelchairs and is flat throughout, makes it an ideal place for those with impaired mobility to visit. Voted one of the friendliest cities in the world, Scotland’s biggest city is a mix of arts, culture and Celtic charm. Glasgow is home to more than 20 museums and art galleries, including the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and the Riverside Museum. This sparkling city also offers some of the best shopping experiences outside of London, as well as a wonderful array of restaurants and cafes at Buchanan Galleries. You can travel between Glasgow and Edinburgh in under an hour by road or by train. Glasgow offers some of the best of Scottish history, culture, architecture and hospitality making it the ideal year-round holiday destination.

Isle of Arran

From towering hills to fabulous forest trails and many local foodie havens, visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do in Arran that the keen hillwalkers, enthusiastic golfers, passionate mountain bikers, foodie lovers and everyone in-between will love. There are 3 ways to get from Troon to Isle of Arran (Island) by bus, ferry, train or taxi. From late March to late October the ferry operates up to nine sailings daily and travellers can be on the island in just 30 minutes. For first-time visitors, Mogabout is highly recommended, and with its 5-star Trustpilot review, is the perfect way to explore the island. Known as “Scotland in miniature” those who sign up to a Mogabout tour can tick all the bucket list boxes: standing stones, castles, distilleries, lochs, glens, beaches and woodlands. Brodick Castle and Country Gardens is a grand baronial castle and estate for the perfect family day out. Gardens, woodland, waterfalls and a castle packed with treasures make this a must-visit on Arran. The Machrie Moor Stone Circles on the west side of Arran are an impressive collection of no less than six stones that boast a strong Neolithic and ancient atmosphere. This rich archaeological landscape dates back to 3500 BC. Located on the north coast of the island, Lochranza Golf Course is famous for being one of the most beautiful locations to play a round. Despite the whole island being only 55 miles around, there is so much to discover and enjoyment to be had.
